Gifting My Party People

You Guys.  I am flippin busy here lately.  Which makes me a bad blogger.  Sorry...I'm an amateur!
Anyways, wanted to give you guys a look at what I bought for my bridesmaids!  So.  Bridesmaids...vanish, por favor.  You want to be surprised, right?

Ok.  Like everything else in our wedding, I wanted to try and give my bridesmaids (my sister and Jason's sisters...I know I haven't said that's who it is, and for good reasons...we'll chat about that later, possibly post-wedding) a taste of REAL Japanese life.  Things that are common and true to our Japan experience.  Which meant buying stuff that's probably out of the norm, but hopefully useful.  First up, the tote bag.

The Lady Samurai are technically the wives and female fighter pilots of the 14th Fighter Squadron Samurai.  We get these bags when we host "coffees", aka our monthly get-togethers.  But I adore these tote bags (mine should be done soon!) and haven't gotten my family much of anything to do with Jason's job or squadron.  And since we might not be in a flying squadron next, I figured this was a good gift.  Their names are all spelled out in Katakana (the Japanese alphabet for foreign words) underneath, and there's an F-16 on the back.  Cute!  Then I checked into one of my favorite little gift shops outside the gate.  I found cute phone charms:

The 5-yen coin is considered lucky
 Ana an oh-so-awesome coin purse/jewelry transport/etc pouch:
Seriously.  It twists down...so cool.
At my favorite Japanese Wal-Mart equivalent Homac I found chopsticks, my favorite onsen I got bath salts, and at an onsen resort on the west coast I got hiba blocks (they smell kinda like cedar) that you can put in your bath/shower and it makes your shower smell awesome (well, at least I think so.  My mamasan [maid] always tells me I'm an interesting foreigner because I like stuff most Americans don't, in her opinion).  Lastly, I saw so many cute pictures of maids and brides getting ready in cute robes, so I found a kimono for each girl and included some fabric ties to hold it shut.

I'm pretty happy with the gifts...I feel like it's thoughtful and not really stuff you can get in America.  But, when it's all together in the bag, I feel like it looks sloppy and unimpressive.

I know it's not really, but I just feel so blah about it.  Besides snacks and a card explaining everything, what else should I do?  Tissue paper maybe?
