Which just so happens to be the exact dress I wanted for our rehearsal dinner.  I just didn't know it existed!  I had decided that I would keep most of the lace in the rehearsal dinner dress.  I bought it...more on it later.  Then, I bought my dress (limited lace) and started looking at veils and cover ups and garters...oh my.  Let's start with the cover up I'm about to purchase....Beau, probably a good time to quit reading!!!
I got the idea while online dress shopping on Alma Novia.

It's got the eyelash lace, for extra texture!  I think texture is one of my buzzwords.
Not only did the lace invade my cover up, it's also taken over my veil.  At first, I was against a traditional veil...I adored the simple flower-in-the-hair or birdcages that had gotten so popular.  But I didn't feel like they went with my dress (which is decidedly un-retro or anything fun like that). Then one day, I suddenly thought of Kate Moss' 1930ish veil.

I love the shape.  It's so different.  And it turns out Etsy seller Kathy of Veiled Beauty had the exact same inspiration.  The veil I bought from her is less lacy, but does have lace, yet again...

So now I've just given in to the lace and letting it take over.  I love it!  I haven't bought my garter yet...we're probably not even doing the toss...the history of it  is kinda icky.  But I am a vintage-lovin soul, and it makes me feel all Dita-ish to have one...

...and yes, it'll have lace...it's like I've been brainwashed...
More details on garter and non-veiled hairpiece to come!
